No worries! I’m sure you’ll find something great that will work for you.

I like the image of you in the old-age-home. I’m sure you’ll really cheer up the place. Old people who give no fucks about what they want are the best kind of old people. I’m a bit younger than you, but I’ve always maintained that when/if I’m living in one of those, I want my entire wardrope to consist of princess…
Oh, also, since no one has seemed to mention it—check Youtube for yoga or exercise routines. There are some decent ones, and they’re free!
Can you find a workout partner near where you are? Someone to come over and do youtube workouts together or something, or at least check in with you and help you to feel accountable? Just an idea.
Yeah I’m ... very much not impressed with this ugly Christmas sweatshirt trend. Will not be hopping on that bandwagon (bandsleigh?).
I’d also like to add—don’t underestimate the power of good profile pictures. If you’re taking new ones, something to keep in mind that websites suggest is picking ones taken with a clear, decent camera in late afternoon light, as that’s the most flattering. There’s the obvious…
As the other commenters have said—thank goodness you found out before the wedding! There are blessings to be counted here. But yes, he’s a terrible person.
I don’t have Netflix or Hulu so I’m not sure about availability but ... Mrs Santa Claus with Angela Lansbury is great for a fun Christmassy musical set in turn-of-the-century New York, complete with suffragettes, overworked orphans, and scrooge-types. That’s my top Christmas movie pick.
I’m in a similar boat to you now ... 27, acne and a bit of scarring on my cheeks, acne kicked in age 22-ish for the first time. Tried every acne facewash under the sun, plus a handful of life tips (drink lots of water! Keep your hair away from your face! No foundation or coverup! Wash your pillowcase! etc ad nauseum.…
I’d agree with this, with the caveat that just a text is still acceptable if they do something creepy 3+ dates later. Because safety.
Yes, long distance is a wholly different beast, trust-wise. I’m waiting for my fiance’s visa to come through now, and our whole relationship has been long distance (we met while I was living in another region of his country) ... My philosophy is that anything that will hinder or jeopardize trust in a longterm…
I really enjoyed that! Aaaaaand now it’s going on my iPod ...
I’m so, so glad to hear that you’re feeling better, and that I could help even a little bit. Dark lonely nights are the worst times, I think. What did you end up doing? I’m curious to see (if it’s the sort of thing that’s photographable).
You’re strong. You’re so, so strong. You’re something. You matter. You have a place in the world and you can be a part of it and affect change. And it WILL get better.
Unrelated, but I have a question. Anyone have a Vitamin C serum they swear by? I have one that’s okay but overpriced and it’s alllllllmost out; there’s no shop for that brand where I’m living, so it seems like a good time to switch over. I’d prefer something cheaper that gets the job done well.
Those photos were absolutely fascinating.
I love these! Definitely some of my favourite documentaries of all time. Hadn’t heard about the Ruth Goodman series though, I shall have to check that out!
Online is a START. But it can’t be the whole relationship. I know one couple (three kids now, and deliriously happy) that it’s worked for, and a whole handful of other disaster stories where it’s all fallen apart (including my own).
That is super cute! I am a sucker for both teal and blue . . . my own attempts were more along the lines of generic wedding 3-inch heel so they were less exciting . . . you’re inspiring me to pop back to the site, though.
Me toooo . . . You know what I found today? This:
