Yeah, I was originally planning on grabbing a 970 for the witcher 3 but I figure I can survive with my ps4 for the time being. I was really hoping the fury x was going to end up stronger than it seems to be to force either a price cut on the 9xx series or more aggressive pricing for Pascal. Oh well. I had the same

I’ll take your word on the witcher, since I ended up going ps4 because I was worried about the performance. I think I read somewhere that the console versions were using some settings that weren’t available as standard pc options. I’d be curious to see what it acted like if someone tweeked the ini to match ps4 across

Eh, Ill agree that 660 is fricking ancient at this point, God knows I’m upgrading as soon as their is a die shrink. However, I’m going to remain skeptical about the significance of console architectural advantages until something blows me away. Regardless though, arkham knight really can’t be used as a point of

Not at all, a 660 is abit stronger than the ps4 and I know I’ve personally run just about every current gen game at higher than console fidelity and frame rate on my 670.

I haven’t used it so obviously just guessing here. While yeah, the vast majority of our time is spent with our focal point ahead of us, there are plenty of times when something is right on that edge between focus and periphery, and from my experience I shift my focus in that direction rather than turning my whole

In some cases yes, but in a large number of them it’s purely an echo chamber magnifying everyones outrage. And in the process any chance at dialogue and actually educating and changing people’s minds is completely lost in the rush to condemn more than the poster before you.

Thank you for saying exactly what I and many others are thinking, only with the necessary even handedness to get people to pay attention to it.

Wwhile everyone knew it existed, it was still remarkable that a game was announced officially with a release date only 5 months away. As of late the turn around from announcement to release is a couple yeatrs as often as not.

Don’t be, blizzard has been so paternalistic lately it hurts. They know best, and anything players do that doesn’t fit their vision is quickly snuffed out.

Oh my god yes, my favorite league match ever was an epic 90 minute battle. I’ll even admit I was ready to ff, but it was my third match of a promo, so glad I didn't.

Thanks, I’ll definitely need to swing by and give it a try sooner rather than later

Hey fellow upstater! Where are you finding it? Neither my local or my corner store count it among their rohrboch offerings and I can’t recall seeing it at Wegmans.

Idk, it honestly sounds fairly grindy to me, but when I played , the basic solo experience, combat, movement, etc....we’re always the part I tollerated to get to group content.

Pardon my tin foil haberdashery, but by requiring everyone who wants to fly to do all the ground based content. They now get to claim all the content everyone didn’t find interesting previously has amazing usage rates and was a resounding success.

Right, but from the sound of it, the new requirements are heavy on do everything we provided on the ground, which it seems many players didn’t find compelling activities on its own.

I’ll admit to being a former player, so in the grand scheme my opinion isn’t particularly relevent. But, it looks like some of the achievements they’re requiring have sub 10% completion rates. Seems like they’re forcing players into content they’ve soundly rejected to get something they’ve always had back. Which to

While I’m generally in agreement with you about scalability, I generally limit it to graphics. The lack of memory and cpu power definitely limit the design space for open world and ai intensive games. Of course, for the most part they’re only using the extra oomph to give us better textures, rather than better

I agree, I was simply pointing out my personal perspective on their design.

It’s not so much caring about starting over, as blizzards insistence I play their way if I want meaningful rewards. If they got rid of dailies and gave a win of the day bonus I’d be much more inclined to give the game a longer look. But the system they have now doesn’t even hide that it’s about driving player

You completely missed my objection. I dislike the daily system, that is why I don’t play. My gold income hinges on playing what the game tells me rather than what I feel like playing. I don’t care about available pool since I have plenty unlocked in LoL. What I care about is getting to play my one or two games a day
