Agreed, shocking and sad (small “s”). She used to have my respect when she was unapologetic for being who she was, but she got sucked into conspiracy theory, retweets Breitbart, Pizzagate and similar.
In the course of evolution, we’ve lost tail, gills, scales, cloaca, possibly limbs pseudopods, and other bits. I would not argue nature “meant” or “intended” to do any of that, but here we are.

Good article. I also think of teachers I know who do love teaching, and would never harm a student. But they’ve a lot of work stresses, financial stresses and have to hide it well so their students don’t see it. And if guns are plentiful where they work, suicide will become more common.
Reading CV’s of qualified applicants is hard. Hoping that not having a competent person in that position doesn’t lead to anything more catastrophic then occasional travel delays.
