Jim Nantz and Phil Simms are very awful on the broadcast; no excitement for the Anquan Boldin touchdown grab, the Ray Rice run on the screen or Wes Welker taking the grab on screen pass. This is a huge damn game and I am getting the feeling this game is not really that big of deal to them.

Even without the injuries, New England was going to have to try really hard to cover for those Linebackers and safeties. Jim Caldwell is calling a pretty interesting game on offense making sure they move around and keep them from teeing off and being comfortable.

Drew, are you looking forward to the lead up to the NFL Combine and Draft with knowing how things tend to get exposed anonymously?

+1.

Two "take aways" from the game in my opinion: how insane is it that New England depends so much upon RAC for their offense; does their defense still deserve to be counted as one dimensional if it just Vince Wilfork or bust?

New England still has not addressed the problem of their linebackers going against talented multiple set TE formations. I swear they can not rush the passer when seeing two guys who can set the edge and guards that can occupy Wilfork (which is very rare). They just don't match up well this game.

Just no.

It sounds like you are blending together what should be three different practices in two different sports: fighting, trash talking and physical play. Each sport has its own culture that maintains acceptable practices independent of each other. But on a level field like respect we can judge them all the same, right?

It is a lot easier to dismiss a student-athlete that is not on an academic path to a 4 year university than some posts would lead to believe. Caution against the opinion of someone who works in education and then dismisses the possibility of this situation happening here and elsewhere. That is complete BULLSHIT.

I see what you are doing there:

I don't know Barry:

In my opinion:

I needed this after the awful burner account comments today.

+ 1 for "dinkaroons"

Damn, +1 as I applaud

"Pledging", "hazing" and "institutionalized ritual-abuse" should obviously be defined as three different activities. Problem I have with the story is that it never goes into the nuts and bolts on how the latter activities came to happen to Champion and Hollis. Always sounds like kids operating in vacuum underground,

What did I just see; is this real and recent?
