She really is incredible. One of the best things about this show.

I can't.
Enough to buy ALL the silver goblets?
This show, Kimmy Shit or whatever, should be picked on because it's brand of comedy is an insult to our brains ... even to a 12 year old's. Come on now.
Not really, but whatever lets you sleep at night.
I have to call bullshit on this one. Mainstream feminism from the suffrage movement to present day has primarily benefitted white, middle-class women. As a matter of fact, the "Famous Five" in Canada who are the Matron Saints of Canadian feminism were at the forefront of the eugenics movement. Emily Murphy, the first…
Exactly. This sort of thing was fresh when Dave Chappelle did a decade ago, but even he swiftly realized that this approach has its dangers and is probably best avoided.
Tina's lawyer character was AWFUL. 3 episodes of the same jokes- did they run out of steam at the end of the season?
So many self-congratulatory white people....
I love almost everything about this show, but Fern and Virgil are pure gold. Surprisingly, Tina Fey was one of the worst things in the series.
You're just realizing this?
Tina fey has proven over and over again that she is a true blue hipster racist, but white women loathe to do any sort of introspection or critique other white people that they have deemed "good liberal whites" because "good liberal whites" are never racist. And "ugh I'm an ally. Why are you people never happy with…
Fey and Co don't seem to get that in 2015 just pointing out racism doesn't really cut it for satire/humor. I don't think the race stuff is malicious it is just really lazy, outdated writing.
Comedy just plain isn't for liberals anymore. Too many boxes they require be checked off before something can be declared non-offensive.
I only watched the pilot episode and found the show SOO ANNOYING that I could not go on. Usually Ellie Kemper's adorkable dweeb schtick works on me, but could not do this one.
I barely got through the first episode. I found everyone stupid and the roommate character actually pretty antiquated and offensive.
"Person goes to New York to discover themselves" is the second most insufferable TV trope out there, besides the "genius (cop, doctor, garbage man) who is also a total asshole."
I didn't make it very far, either. I can see other people liking it, but it's just not something that's ever going to work for me for the reasons you listed.
I seem to be the only person I know that thought this show was horrendous. I had to turn it off halfway through the first episode because it was just too eager, too twee, and too corny. Every character was a caricature of a real person. So hard to watch.
Those pictures of Tina and Rachel make me sad, because Rachel really did fall victim to the non-movie-star looks thing, thanks to the casting people at 30 Rock.
