You’re writing about things people want to read? Crazy.

Now playing

They already do, all that does is enable less attentive driving.

Also, flawless autonomous vehicles, which is a stretch given that I don’t think we’ve even established non-inferiority in simulations/video games.

They already do, all that does is enable less attentive driving.

Which will instead be piloted by human designed and programmed computers. Which haven’t exactly proven to be reliable either.

Neutral: Not in a free country. In order to prevent traffic deaths, you would have to completely eliminate human piloted vehicles and replace them all with autonomous ones. That would only happen if you could force people to give up their cars, which Jalops know isn’t about to happen. Even limiting the speed of cars

Why? There is zero benefit for them to drive traffic to other sites that don’t have ads. Kinja has been going through some terrible updates lately, it’s possible the code that embeds the poll broke during those. I posted a lot of polls in kinja earlier this year and it shit the bed once then, too. Then it was fine.

An NSX with an auto is a crime against nature. :-(

Automatic? Sad face. I would have said NP but for that.

There’s something missing from the second bullet list. How are you going achieve better dyno numbers than new without significant modifications to the engine and perhaps (yike$) rebuilding it? Is this something you can do with a chip-up?

Well, I can’t wait to see if you can actually do it for $5,000. That exterior upgrade alone will cost you a pretty penny in used parts, and those are just the face lifted lights.

Just the pedal, though.

Put a clutch pedal in it then it might be the ultimate daily driver.

Zzzzzzz...... Wake me up when they do something original and exciting.

It does seem high, but MSRP on a 430 HP ready-to-go LS3 crate is $13,856, and the T56 is close to $5k. Definitely another $10k in there for the differential and suspension, not to mention whatever else they do to get to 525 HP and make it work in a Miata.

“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a tyre is a good guy with a digital tyre pressure gauge…”

10k for the motor
10k for the transmission
5k for the rear end
5k for the suspension/wheels
5k for the fabrication of all the custom pieces that are needed to make the install happen
10k for the labor to install it all.
3k for the fact they had to go through all the testing and bull to get it certified to be street legal in

Too bad a conversion is like $50k with labor. (just realized you said that in the article oops) I’m not mechanically inclined enough to do a swap like that myself, and $80k is better spent on a nice Corvette Grand Sport IMO.

Still really cool that they’re doing this.
