The only time I have seen one of these up close in real life, it was broken down in the middle of a road. The driver couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it and I helped push him out of the way. He got it running shortly after and was on his way.

The BMW took the whole hit on the drivers side and stopped the car almost immediately. The Merc that hit it did so with much more of its overall frontal area and spun off down the road dissipating that energy over a much longer time frame.
