heating without an engine to warm up is also a big battery drain in the leaf. Or have they added a heat pump?

Even if we got to 100% vaccination, a worthy goal, we’d need the entire world to do the same at the exact same time and then everyone isolate for 3 weeks. if not some new variant, will put us back to ground zero again. 

Not really, it’s because the rules are not perfect, people won’t follow them after a while. Plus we are fatigued with it all, and we’ve seen it’s (mostly) not a death sentence unless you’re old or obese or diabetic or have health issues etc. mostly (not always)
