As someone who beta tester this service last year with about an hour of assassin’s Creed Odyssey, unless they really fuck this up between then and next month it will be pretty rad, if you dont have a data cap.

+1 American Exceptionalism which is currently +1.32 Canadian...

Confusing but erotic?

You’re missing the point.

Watching the team try to form some sort of coherent offensive strategy last night was like watching a monkey try to fuck a football. At a basic level you understand what it’s trying to do, but in the end it’s just confusion and embarrassment for everything involved.

You seem to have missed the part where they only ever sold 200 copies and their studio is dead...

I think there are a healthy bit of people wanting to see Google fail at something like this. Yes, they have shuttered some projects, some of which seemed like they’d be huge.

Their developers are encouraged to try new things and work on their own weird projects. They experiment. They’re willing to take chances on

My belief with games, movies or whatever else is that execution trumps concept. “Interdimensional elves” and “mutagenetic monster hunters” might sound silly but The Witcher makes them work because it is a well written game with amazingly likable characters.

Also: there’s the other stuff. Wild Hunt is where a lot of

You’re absolutely entitled to your opinion, and not every game is going to scratch the itch for very gamer, but Heather isn’t wrong when she says Wild Hunt is considered one of the best video games ever made. While ultimately subjective, it’s a pretty universally-held truth. It’s not perfect, no. But it’s really,

Can’t wait. Pre-ordered the day it was announced. Might get a Pixel 4 for an early Christmas gift, unless they announce when iOS support is coming. Happy times!

I’ve been on this site for quite a while and I’ve found her articles to be well-reasoned and thought-provoking. I’m sorry you think that writing about games has to end at “shooting fun. bigger numbers good. microtransactions bad. five bags of popcorn.”

That’s not a reviewer’s job. It’s not for Heather to assume your viewpoint. It’s for Heather to apply her viewpoint, based on her experience.

No, actually. My job is to tell you what I think but also what I feel. Objectivity is a myth.

My job as a critic is to tell folks what I think. I think Wildlands is trash. I said so in my review and I stand by it here. This sometimes changes, by the way. When I reviewed Seige as a freelancer, I didn’t like it. Now? It’s grown into something far beyond that initial form. No Man’s Sky is maybe the most high

Me and my friend had some pretty good times in that game - not actually doing what the game wanted - but just dicking around the country side. When we started playing it seriously... it got boring super fast. It got a bunch of DLC that we never bothered to check out.

Huh, that gif is a favorite of mine as well, though I usually use it on Gizmodo when someone complains about bezels or notches.

What is a femboy? Are you being sarcastic here or is “femboy” a term that you actually use without irony?

I think Origin takes this award over Odyssey for best/ignored Ubi release. Odyssey got so much great press post release from many sites. Origin was almost on par with it and has maybe the best Assassin’s Creed protagonist to date but no one talks about it or Bayek.

Awful might be overstating things, but yeah, I’d say that fucking awesome is also a stretch.

Admittedly, the “red royt” ad-libs are kind of over-the-top, but the fact that Snoop is rapping a cover of Nick Cave over trap-percussions on behalf of Peaky Blinders is still fucking awesome.
