The new Arcade Classics series is close, I could see them releasing additional legacy content in this way. Leaving 3rd parties to handle it themselves as full-fledged releases like the 10,000 NEOGEO games on every platform. It’s honestly not a bad solution, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for a ‘real’ VC anyway.

It’s at least on hold for now, given the popularity of the Classics. What’s interesting is that the VC would have a higher profit per title but hell, I balked at paying 3-4 bucks for twenty-plus year-old games I (probably) still own in cartridge format. I think I’ve bought a handful of titles on VC at most. Packaging

They already announced they’re going Netflix style, subscribe to the service and play the library of games available that month. It’s not one game a month anymore

I’ll take that bet. Trump can’t pardon state crimes.

Trump would probably love to do so, but I believe he can only pardon those imprisoned by the federal government, not the state. Now I wonder how long it’ll be until he decides to have that changed.

Even with a weekend skeleton staff, I don’t understand how Jez is so slow to report on major news.

Raspberry Pi + RetroPie + any wireless controller of your choice = Make your own mini emulator box with any games you want. No restrictions.

Even with Sonic 3 & Knuckles, they shouldn’t get a dollar out of you. That game’s absence is the least of the problems with AtGames trash consoles.

That would require actual emulation effort. That’s way too complicated for AtGames.

I’m with you. Really disappointed they are going back into the same ole group of people. Lame.

I KNOW I’M TRYING TO EDIT IT, BUT IT WON’T PUBLISH DAMNIT. I NOTICED JUST AFTER I WROTE THE COMMENT. I FEEL SO ASHAMED.

I’ve discovered as the years go by that I really don’t care for prequels. I guess they must be popular, because EVERYONE does them, but for me personally, I’m not a fan. I’ll still get this, but I’ll do it with less excitement. :)

Everything you described will be done once modding is added to the game.

eh idk about that. they’ve put out two pretty significant updates in just the last month and a half or so. FPP queues, rolling that out to duo and squads, extra server capacity, improvement to the FPV in general, fixing interactions with doors and various items, extra towns, new weapons, etc.

Jason Schreier Strikes Again And Delays Red Dead Redemption 2.... Announcement.

There’s also the original MegaMan series, where every robot master from MM2 onwards was based on a fan-submitted design. All of them came from Japanese gamers until MM6 featured two concepts from North American fans.

That woman is going to have a job in the industry. And fast.

Shepard Smith is the only one that comes to mind.

You can still operate those games without updates, that’s the thing. You wouldn’t be able to use network features but the game is playable. And when the servers shut off, you still have a game to play. That physical copy is still usable. Unless of course you’re buying games like Destiny. Then you’re SOL. Personally I
