Danny Boyle would do a great Alien movie. He did a space movie called Sunshine that was beautiful although the last third of it could have been better. But I would love to see him take another crack at Sci Fi

Personally the race stuff wasn’t a detriment to the series at all for me - I disliked the series because the dialogue was so cheesy and the plot felt like a mess. I love the actor playing Luke and was really excited for the series, but was so disappointed by it. To me it was even worse than Iron Fist...

I totally agree. I thought the Drax laughing and the cute baby Groot stuff could have been restrained just a bit and it would have been a better movie for it. Loved it still, but the jokes started to feel just a bit like they were trying too hard.
