The tire stretch isnt that bad. It’s also been proven 225 width tires (basically only width available anymore for 15" performance tires) is actually faster on 9" wide wheels then they are on 8" wide wheels.

It happened to me 3 times in the Mazda. The first two popped out when i reversed but the third time I had to get it removed. Shitty design IMHO if there is a gap big enough for a rock to wedge in there.
This same exact thing happened to my Mazdaspeed3. There is a rock stuck in the brake caliper.
