that’s fair, we had discussed the show in one of my queer support meetings, and it felt like the queerness of the show felt sort of disconnected with some of the black and white depictions of drug use here. It sounds like Jeremy Harris has more input on season 2, so maybe there will be a deeper dive into connecting

on one level I hate this show and as someone in recovery I think it doesn’t have a great grasp on drug use at all, but at the same time it’s so stylish and well acted, and that stressful carnival episode was really memorable.

Huh. I’ve been repeatedly told that small, serious films aren’t being made anymore due to the superhero glut, yet apparently there were at least 25 of them this year. (Presumably more, as this is a “best of” list.) I have *heard of* (not seen) four of these. I feel as though you are making up the rest.

Can’t really argue with most of these, although the number one is surprising. I very much enjoyed The French Dispatch, but it’s outside my top 25 of the year, and is at best in the middle of my personal Wes Anderson rankings. Maybe it’s just because we’ve been so spoiled for movies. 2021 has been an amazing film year.

The other moment that really stood out to me was when Dani had the yips in the premiere and Nate’s response was “Just show him his fucking salary,” basically. It was such a performative piece of aggression, in a situation where the others were all acting in a sympathetic fashion, and it stuck with me as we got more

Hi Myles, just want to say I completely agree with you. The words concerningly” and “worrisome” are spot on. Sure this episode was enjoyable at face value, but the complete lack of reference to the Dubai Air fiasco was a bit of a shock to me. I really do hope they come back to this at some point. Otherwise it appears

There’s the idea, and then there’s the implementation. The last season in some benny hill fast forward shattering all sense of geographical, temporal and psychological progression. Plus, the endorsed fantasy clichés that did also contribute to the series success : the tits-and-gore shock value that established Game of

It doesn't help the argument when the focus on people being marginalized is just black people. I say this as a black person. It makes it looks like us being included is all that matters when inclusion across the board for worthy projects should be the goal I think.

Just because you find Denzel more attractive doesn’t mean everyone does. What a weird comment.

Do you like...anything?

The important thing is you feel superior.

Fuck your ad hominems, troll. And fuck all of you who give a star when people come to a pop culture discussion to insult whoever has other tastes.

I’m Commento!

same. I like all the characters, and the setting is really vivid and nice. even though the first season wasn’t the best TV ever, I still rewatched it 2-3 times.

I’m starting to think some of the people here aren’t actually into pop culture.

You could run GarageBand on iphone4.

If only the internet provided a way to look up artists who are clearly well-known in indie music circles.

Ariel Pink and John Maus... Trump supporters. Fucking hell.

The Return would have made a fantastic miniseries, and episode 8 transcends television: it belongs in a museum and on university curriculums.

I'm sorry, but no. Once again, David Lynch has conned all of you into thinking his demented nightmarish crap has depth. It doesn't. None of his work ever has.
