Realistically, the line that makes the most sense is Dallas to Cincinnati. You’ve got a huge hub for Japanese auto parts suppliers in Cincinnati/Convington, KY and you’ve got Toyota’s HQ in Dallas. If they could move parts and cars on high-speed rail instead of slow rail that would be huge. Same with connecting all

Hmm. They already own Volvo. Will they buy Lincoln? Chrysler? Maybe buy Chrysler and the rights to Plymouth from Stellantis? I think if I were BYD or Geely, that’s what I would do. Turn Chrysler into a proper luxury EV brand and Plymouth into the mass-market brand.

Eh, I think the Defender is way nicer looking.

Wait so is the North American Santa Fe going to be a 3 row? Is the next gen Palisade/Telluride going to be much bigger?

Yeah that’s fair. I guess I mean, something you could reasonably use to like take 7 people and some decent amount of luggage on a road trip, which you can absolutely NOT do in an X7 (or even 6 people b/c captains chairs and 2 seat 2nd row).

If it was closer in size to the X7, it wouldn’t be an Escalade. I think Caddy will eventually make an electric XT6, which is more X7-sized. You don’t buy an Escalade because you want something small. You buy it for zero-compromises 3 row size. The rear seat in an X7 is strictly for kids.

Yeah looking at the Lets model, they’re mixing dough from flour and water on the spot for each pizza... How does that work? It seems like it would be garbage.

Ha even better

Lol how you scoff at rebadged Korean cars when this is a Chinese car.

Just drop in that Salvage Title bit at the end there lol

GT Premium Fastback with the Performance Pack and the High Premium package. That silver color looks pretty rad.

Damn. Every time I see one of these on the road I’m struck by how beautiful it is, but it is so damned expensive. Weirdly enough, many of the people who can afford one of these are the types of people who say “electric just isn’t ready yet.” Frustrating.

I guess I’m one of the few people that likes the design. Hate the econo-car interior though. Also, the price. Also the product tie-in. So no dice, but I think the body has always looked nice and don’t get the hate for the styling.

I agree. It’s a good design from the outside and a V8 convertible is definitely unique. Problem is they cheaped out on the interior for some reason. If they made the inside look like a boat, this car would work. The inside looks like a fucking Ford Contour and is such a mystifyingly bad decision.

Aren’t they only struggling because they’re having manufacturing issues? I believe demand is outstripping supply, right?

What a shithole state

I think the UX is going to be bizarre and unlivable

It’s the platonic ideal of Lexus’ angry chunk wedge predator design. I actually like it a lot.

Never!

I’m not bitching about the free car!
