Yeah it’s fucking bullshit. A luxury car maker nickel and dimeing you for shit that is standard on downmarket cars. Good for you for finding a workaround.

The lumbar is kind of a big deal in those bimmers - the seats have never been great.
Yeah several years ago I was cross shopping CPO 328s against new 320s, and even though the 320 had the manual that I wanted, I couldn’t wrap my head around spending more than $30k for a car without power seats. Like I know it’s not a big deal, but having the nav, leather, power seats and whatever else came with the…
Are watches the same as cars? You’re not going to pay a lower price for a watch at a manufacturer’s boutique because those watches are sold at tons of stores, and the manufacturer doesn’t want to compete with their own distribution channels. Same with jewelry and mattresses and whatever other examples you’re going to…
I had a Chevy dealer once spill oil all over my engine during an oil change on my Aurora. They then steam cleaned the engine, which totally fried the internal circuitry. I had that car going in and out of that dealer for months, with them trying to tell me to just sell the car already because it was 7 years old.
What are you talking about man? I’m responding to your idea that you’re somehow going to get a better deal relative to the wholesale cost of the car by going to a dealer, who needs to make money on the transaction, too. That’s dumb, on its face.
What you don’t want piano black interior materials? At least 7% of people do, and this is our target consumer!
Underwhelmed by the exterior and overwhelmed by the interior. What crack are these people smoking?
Thank you
what do you got, rocks in that fuckin head of yours?
Yeah jesus holy shit what a dummy that guy is lol
I don’t think GM service is what you want to be pointing to in the plus column for the Bolt, man.
I love how these German auto execs always seem to espouse the opinion that the world will eventually come around to their bad decisions. Like another car company isn’t going to try to compete on range. No, everyone’s just going to quit at a 220 mile range and customers are going to just have to learn to love it.
IDK that coupe looks kind of like someone was crapping out a Hyundai Tiburon and pinched it before they were done.
just plug it into the dryer outlet lol
These are probably too small for the people who’d really want them. Socially conscious people with young families who are looking to buy a new car want something bigger. We have an old Fit and an old Jeep liberty, and honestly, if I were buying a new family car, I’d want something bigger. And if I were buying a toy…
Do people actually race these things? Seriously wondering..
I don’t know man, Canadian sales figures (???) notwithstanding, if I could get an electric Mustang with performance that blows away a V8 for the same price that doesn’t need gas, I’m doing it.
I agree that this seems lousy for true enthusiasts, but Ford has moved so many more non-V8 Mustangs over the years than the “true” GT versions. I think the whole point of pony cars is their mass appeal - both to those who want style and to those who are attracted to performance bona fides.
This is a great idea. By 2028, people will be totally on board with electric, and the performance that it will deliver will blow away what they can get in a gas engine.
