I mean, I really think the X2 is perfect - not too fast (but still fast), all wheel drive, sporty looking. It’s got that cool old grandma vibe, and loaded with every option, MSRP is $52k. Got all the driver assist stuff which is probably good for an old couple, too.

All of those are just as low to the ground! I think the X3 is the right car for her. Drives like a sports car (prob better than that old 300zx), and it’s easy to get in and out of. If she wants it sportier, she can go for the X2.

Seems to me like one of the producers probably has wanted to muscle out Gunn and is just using this as a pretext.

You went to Borscht-Belt comedy?

Yeah man, gotta make a stable emulsion. Starch is the emulsifier between the fat of the oil and cheese and the water. You can also combine it in a large bowl instead of the pan. Think of it like a Sauce Mornay.

Nah. Listen to Rubber Soul front to back. That whole album owns, even if one of the songs is about John Lennon threatening to kill his girlfriend (inspired by Elvis).

The Fool on the Hill, Through a Glass Onion, “The End” Medley, Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, Savoy Truffle, The Continuing Adventures of Bungalow Bill, Rocky Raccoon... I mean, every song on Revolver, Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper’s, Magical Mystery Tour, Let It Be, The Beatles, Rubber Soul...

I dunno, I feel like “Avatar is terrible” is kind of a growing consensus.

This is a pretzel crust strawberry cheesecake. This ain’t no goddamn salad.

Well, that’s not really the point I made. I don’t think you can justify any form of racism. And I don’t think it washes to try to redefine racism as having oppression as a necessary condition. I don’t need to demonstrate examples where generalizing based on the behavior of the few would be outrageous depending on the

What does all that entail though? I favor government policies that integrate people, such as affirmative action. I vote for politians that support social justice. I’m considerate towards others. I’m aware that I’m lucky to be born who and where I was. I donate charities that work towards human and global progress

But all white people aren’t her oppressors. As far as I can tell, she’s not oppressed, but if she is, it’s by a few asshole internet trolls.

Yeah, but it doesn’t seem like that’s what ka mai was talking about though. Being decent and considerate towards others is not really the same thing as constantly working towards a more just society and being aware of ones privilege or whatever. I would hope that you could tell from my replies that I’m a conscientious

Hey man, I agreed with you!

That seems like a pretty unreasonable standard. Expecting regular people to wallow in shame or crusade for social justice is beyond unrealistic.

No, it’s not like saying that. That’s a pretty terrible analogy. It’s more like saying “white people once killed my people, so now I have license to murder white people as I see fit.”

What? Racism is not necessarily oppression.

How? Isn’t it all just perpetuating division and hatred?”

Hey, I agree with you. Racial jokes are either wrong, or they’re not.
