The cabin is pressurized to ~8k.  They were around 16k, a difference of 8.   Yet it still ripped the seats apart near the opening and ripped a shirt off a kids back.    You think that if the difference was 25k+ it would be the same?   Hardly.    And that doesn’t factor in the cold and lack of oxygen up higher.

The Corolla Cross is what’s standing between my wife and a Prius. $28k gets you an AWD hybrid that’s a similar stature to her older Rav and 42mpg combined. Yeah, that’s less efficient than the Prius. But it’s also less money and a more familiar form factor for her.

I suspect most auto CEO’s have similarly egregious personalities and politics but just don’t tweet about them though.

Every Japanese car I’ve owned made it for over 200,000 miles. I didn’t even buy most of them until they had 100k on them.
