Rob, Long time listener - First time caller. Thanks for your always entertaining banter.
I’m Abiding on this one. I’m may be out of my element (to use the parlance of our times) but even if you had to spend $2k on this Volvos gearbox you would then have a mint wagon in good shape. Would that not be worth $5k if you…
I’ve heard of some bad experiences at Ashley Schaeffer Kia
They use Landruisers for the succesful missions
I have one and they are great. Expensive but providing you don’t need major mechanical repairs you will get that back. Unfortunatly slow and less then stealth if that is a requirement. Having the ability to stand up and cook while others sleep or rotate the front seats around means it feels a lot more roomy than it…
Can confirm. In Germany I’ve travelled in Taxis newer than this with vinyl seats and rubber mat floors.

Not the last time that FIAT went the squircle. James Mays favourite was full of them!
I have a Corolla 4wd wagon (and tercel 4wd before) from ‘88 with the slightly raised roof and it helps because the rear seats on the the 4wds are a bit higher because rear axle.
Have you never sat in the back of an economy car?
Patagonia is very popular in Japan already.
Well Japan does make the most American of Cars so its not that strange
Saw more USA cars in Japan than I do in Australia. Those that have them really look after them and they do standout. There is a respect for cars of all types in Japan. I’ve seen Corvettes 70's Trans Ams. A Buick Roadmaster and some really 80's Woody wagon compact car that was so non-discript up in the snow in…
