I have some colleagues doing something similar with Series 1 and 2 landrovers to a high end standard here in Australia you should get in touch with them! https://jauntmotors.com/

Subaru have for year been the safest of all the Japanese brands in crashworthiness as well. I remember reading years ago fire departments required training to use the jaws of life on Foresters.   https://www.forbes.com/sites/tanyamohn/2018/12/26/safest-cars-for-2019-announced-subaru-tops-list-domestic-brands-nearly-abs

My friend in Melbourne had one in exactly the same colour. She bought if off one of the guys from The Avalanches who had bought it new with some royalties off ‘Since I left You”. Not exactly a traditional musicians type of car but there again. The Avalanches weren’t exactly traditional

Good to hear, I didn’t want to be pedantic but people who brake and then turn/indicate live amongst us.

The clue is in the name “indicators”

I thought the idea of indicators was you put the blinkers on a few seconds before you turn the wheel.

Yes. But also TBH USA cars have generally not been competitive in the world marketplace outside of Jeep.

One other point. By manufacturing more EVs in the USA you might have a vehicle actually worth exporting that other countries want to buy beyond Teslas unlike your ICE vehicles. Export $ potential and more jobs for the USA.

Even the Australian ones are starting to hold there prices and not just because Covid has flipped out the used car prices! pity you never got the wagon over there!

You need to go full mismatch to make it look legit.

I wasn’t sure how many of the Nord American readers would know a Levorg tbh.

Nicely played. I really struggled with fitting the Levorg in to my paragraph.

I for one love to see clean versions of relativly regular cars. Especially time capsules of what I believe is a high point in Japanese bubble economy car design. Why would someone waste time to be so negative?

Good to see that Subaru is pro-active on protecting its Legacy. I wish they would take the Liberty to do that here in Australia where they have Imprezzed everyone from the Brats of the Outback to the Justy Brumbies and Foresters that Crosstrek the Ascents.

I delighted in some of subtle digs at some of the “hardcore 4wd’” blokey youtube channels.

I’m in Australia and Subaru fans are always taking the Liberty.

Alternative headline after reading through some of the comments. Is is a luxo barge? is it a Wrangler replacement? has led me to believe that (speaking as an Australian who is very comfortable with the Landcruiser):

Would love thihs ugly bastard to become a thing this year. The Toyota TJ Cruiser. Like a Probox and a FJ cruiser hooked up.

I get it. Golfs are always about good taste and I like the refined plaid in the GTi as an option its actually a brave move when it comes to resale! with the Tercel 4wd its just WTF who allowed a cheap economy car to have a bit of fun?
