That’s quite a profit! Sometimes you get lucky with a car that at the bottom of its depreciation curve before it starts becoming worth more as a collectible.

Cheers!, Its been amazing forum for me to meet lots of people around the world with some very knowledgeable people on there keeping these cars alive!

Hey I saw you joined the Forum! welcome Lets find you one or a Corolla Alltrac Wagon (my current DD) which shares parts with the first Gen RAV4

Everything is safe if its broken down in your yard (exception for Tetanus).

Yep, we’ve got about 1500 members across the globe and had over 100,000 forum posts.
Your Dad probably knows what cars pay the bills and you had a Tercel you would have barely seen him The reliability is incredible compared to my past and present VW’s. But to be honest they are so slow. Enjoy the Alfa while its

I was trying to work out what country had both Holden Commodores and Grey imported Carinas.. Saw your number plate and correct. NZ.!

I meant run... but there again with a few mods. perhaps fun is correct.

Ok, sorry I thought you were just being a snob about old Toyotas and I guess I felt defensive because I often drive a 32 year old Corolla Alltrac with 300,000kms and it still has the original radiator, clutch etc yep I have replaced the dash top because Australia has brutal sun. Heres my car. https://www.caradvice.com.

Whats POS about it? the fact that it will fun forever?

This does happen I help run a forum for Tercel 4wd Wagons and the amount of new members that join who were just after a winter beater and end up fixing up the car for DD or doing full restorations is great to see. A lot of these members have better and often enthusiast cars but enjoy the fun of working on an old car

This fact always kills me “At its height, in 1989, real estate in Tokyo sold for as much as $139,000 a square foot—more than 350 times as much as choice property in Manhattan. Such valuation made the land under the Imperial Palace in Tokyo notionally worth more than all the real estate in California”

I was thinking Granada as well (the European one?) I’m wondering if the cars are to explicitly with the films shown at the festival. There also looks like there is a white Prius on the ferry.

about 1982 in Exeter, England my earliest memory is Dad working on the Triumph 2000. It actually was pretty reliable so he got a MGB GT to sort that out

early 90's Civic - i’m thinking insight concept car here.

VH nailed it for me styling wise but VK isn’t awful either! Funny enough there is a Opel Rekord of VB vintage driving around Geelong still

Yeah they are going up in value for sure.

I resisted my urge with a Vanagon Westfalia and ended up having to buy one and don’t regret it at the least. Buy a good one keep it in good condition and if it all goes sour you won’t lose much money.

CHiPs was pretty good though 10year old me thought.
