I have not driven in a V6 accord so I cannot comment on the aural experience. However, 278hp at 6k RPM and 252lb-foot torque at 4900 RPM seems like you got to work the engine to get the sweet spot. For and every day accord, get me that torque figure from 1500-4000RPM and I will be happy.

You seem upset at the fact that the V6 is being replaced with the Civic Type R engine. Potentially better weight distribution and cheaper ways to boost power seems good to me.

They are closer to Germans than Japanese manufacturers when it comes to reliability. Just as pricey as the Germans too.

I hear, ya. For most day to day driving, torque > HP.

2005 G35 manual sedans were rated at 298 hp and 260 lb-foot torque. The problem is the power band where peak HP was achieved at 6400k RPM and peak torque was achieved at 4800k RPM.

I always enjoy these Chris Harris’s reviews in his natural setting. I felt that the writers/himself decided to turn him into more of a prick in season 2 of the new Top Gear.

Always good to hear the good stories about long term subaru ownership. I always liked the 2005-2007 Legacy GT wagons but I would say every 1 in 4 ads had “newer engine/turbo” in the description which worried me about long-term reliability. This coming from a current VW/BMW/Volvo owner.

replacing an engine at 100k is not normal maintenance?

No shooting brake/wagon requirement? You are no true car enthusiast.

Last car executive who listen to the gearheads (IRS/Turbo Mustang, Mustang GT350K/KR, Fiesta ST, Focus RS, Ford GT) ended up without a job.

The typical jalopnik response is that the power is not enough for the FRS/BRZ but the 8th gen civic si (similar HP/less TQ) is revered for its peaky power delivery (vtec, yo!).

Or four doors.

Not being snarky but how much would Ford have to sell it for in order for it to make sense? Not make F-150 profit but say breakeven.

Here is what Lavar Ball had to say about Chino Hills’ previous coach, Steve Baik.

8 chain guide jobs? You are a God among men, Danny! The timing chain guides were my biggest concern when I was hunting for the right car so I spent about a year searching for for the right car in the following priority:

Except the timing belt job is no where as intensive or expensive as replacing the timing chain guides. Before I picked up my e39 530i I crossed shopped the LS400 with an e39 540i. The price of the timing belt job was less than $500.00 at the Toyota/Lexus indy shops I called (worth my time and aggrevation). Fixing the

Or a representative with the skill and experience to negotiate them a better contract. Maybe this representative could be incentivize by receiving a portion of the awarded contract.

You get out of here with your well thought out analysis and explanation!

I have noticed over the years that FCA buyers lack impulse control and go full “shup up and take my money” when a new car based model with a V8 is launched (i.e. 300c, magnum, charger, challenger). FCA had to limit the dealer markup on hellcats to $8.5k due to price gouging when they first came out and are now
