Remember, folks, the X-Games event at COTA is the reason why V8 Supercars didn’t come back to America.
“There’s clearly way to much data here to describe it all”
Golf R... Polestar... I need to move to Australia.
“Come with us on a ride along in the Ken Block car sponsored by Monster*
Would he have been able to keep up with a jumbo at takeoff speed?
Wtf.
What do you mean won’t let you post pics? You copy and paste the image URL into the text area. The site’s back end will automatically convert that to <img src=”mything.jpg”/>
Are we cool with just calling it Public Beta Testing? Once the technology gets more exposure and real world situational testing, it should settle into a more user friendly and safe zone.
Lay it out for me. What am I missing/overlooking?
That’s almost 400,000 vehicles a year that any one of the NA manufacturers would LOVE to have.
“Don’t tell me your conventional car doors have never bounced back half closed after you opened them, or the wind closed it after you opened it. You didnt blame the manufacturer, you just opened it again.”
My question on this is if you press the button again, will it go back down or will it attempt to resume it’s onward and upward progress?
Until we can find out for sure, I’m going with the “second shooter” conspiracy.
Watch how much the door bounces without anybody touching it at 1:48. What you see with his hand on the door is nothing. That is just natural flex at the end of it’s resting position. A light tap would result in the same amount of bounce back.
Maybe I just need to try it in person, but every time I re-watch 1:38, I don’t see a grab/push, I see a touch following the door up.
I’m not arguing that it shouldn’t stop when it hits resistence. I’m talking about the amount of resistance. As I mentioned in another post, a wind gust looks like it would easily prevent the door from opening.
You may need to go back and reconsider this post. That’s the right side of the steering wheel.
Are you going to defend the “open” button not working being a feature as well?
I like the fact that the the button to open the door didn’t work and Tesla’s PR person had to open it from the outside.
