IMO, since the driver has this info on the new fancy-schmancy dash displays it isn't really that big of a deal. To be fair, this year even some of the high end teams (Red Bull, Ferrari, and Williams) don't have the awesome LED screens that McLaren, Mercedes, Toro Rosso and Sauber have.
