makes sense, Tesla has always been aggressive on regenerative braking (the best in the industry imo) so any test the turns off regenerative braking is going to show less efficiency compared to EPA since EPA factors in braking as a big part of the stop and start traffic routine.
The 3 managed this performance with the second-smallest battery capacity of this whole field. It appears to me that the “study” neglected to point out that of all the cars tested, the 3 delivers the most miles per kilowatt-hour, and not by a small margin either. It’s a significantly better performer.
Yeah, they picked the most expensive, least efficient Model 3, and still I can’t imagine this was the result they wanted.
Ikr? It’s almost like they hate Tesla or something...
Good to see Jalopnik is now just straight up publishing press releases as unbiased news....
I own a Model 3 Performance like the one tested here.
I’m shocked how you cant equate range of EVs with the American political system? Clearly you must be bought and paid for by Russia. /s
Polestar: “Tesla has the lowest score!”
Can you please point to the German article. I can’t seem to find it.
“An ‘independent firm’ hired by Polestar...”
I’m not a Tesla fan, but the test parameters were wrong. Why would the regenerative brakes be set in the least setting? If I were buying an electric car (which I’m not) I would use the regenerative brakes in the highest setting. It would allow me to use one pedal control for most of my driving, but also it would…
LOL, from a company who’s car will inevitably be in last place for sales!
Despite their love for the 2nd Amendment as a “defense against tyranny,” they’re obviously perfectly OK with a tyrant so long as they think the tyrant is on their side.
Stereo cameras should do this just fine. Humans don’t use LIDAR nor do they generally need to. It’s unclear how this sign is being misinterpreted except if the software is not considering range at all and just looking at pixel width/angular coverage.
Tesla did not ask to chop down a forest, they asked to clear a farm. Do you bloggers ever attempt to learn?
to build cars for people in McMansions to drive to get their lattes without getting gas station guilt
Geriatric driver mistakes gas for brake. Tale as old as time.
I’ll pass on calling dibs. Few things are more humiliating than being underwater on a Hyundai.
