“For my romantic lead I want the guy from Dracula!”
“Luke Evans?”
“Who?”
“Gary Oldman?”
“No, Dracula! Dracula! With the great hair and the open collared shirt! You know, Dracula!”
“...Frank Langella? But he’s...”
“That’s him!  He’s my star or you’re fired!”

So they definitely didn’t fire him for touching a woman intimately against her will as he confessed out loud and voluntarily in his interview? We’re sure about that?

Huh, the premise of your argument is that the casting department didn’t know Frank Langella was an octogenarian...

Just want to say a thanks to all those who were gracious enough to explain what “spontaneity” means. The cleverness of the AVClub commentariat may have diminished, but at least the pedantry is still going strong.

Man, if Madison Cawthorn was only the guy in the videos the Right is using to smear him, he’d be a pretty good guy; a bisexual disabled party-monster who cross-dresses and chugs champagne. That’s someone I want to know!

In fact, the ideal is (in my opinion) unhealthily thin, and promotes eating disorders which lead to other health issues.

It’s not only weird, it’s kind of a shame.

Yeah, they dismissed my comment, also.

Vanity and tax breaks, like I said. These people sure aren’t heroes; in fact, if you watch the original QOV, they really are garbage.

Why not just donate to established, effective charities instead of starting your own (with attendant expenses and the possibility of diluting people’s efforts).  It’s nice that they responded compassionately to the loss of their daughter, but I can’t help feeling that there’s an element of vanity in founding a new

I mean, there’s definitely an element of hypocrisy to it; so many hardass conservatives who were death on drug offenders are suddenly supporting treatment rather than jail now that everyone knows an addict. But I’ll take progress no matter where it comes from.
