That is an acceptable answer. Just stop hemming and hawing about it.

we all have pets that we cherish like children but no actual children. i’ve always said that if our family had a motto it would be, “oh, grow up.”
i used to think it was weird that neither i nor any of my siblings had kids. then i remembered our childhood & went, “oh, right.”
Also, know when to stop having kids.
If your plan is to have kid(s), then just have the kid(s). You’re never actually ready to have kids. Don’t assume it is just going to happen. We did the wait thing and while Kid #1 was a snap, Kid #2 came after all sorts of medical interventions and tens of thousands of dollars later, and while beginning the process…
semi-related I do wish people would stop going to war over their decision with one another. There seems to be a desperate need for validation that manifests in a lot of self aggrandizing.
The world already has way way too many kids whose parents are only mostly interested in being parents. It’s too big/important of a job to take on if being a parent isn’t one of your desperate lifelong needs.
Last weekend at Target a woman in the stall next to me put her coat on the floor.
“or, God forbid, placing him on the ground”
Yeah, the Japanese design is infinitely superior. The other thing about the ones with the webbing straps, is that there is always some unidentifiable goo in the webbing. And I suspect a lot of that goo is partially dried urine and feces.
I thought you could just hang the baby from the coat hook in the back of the door.
Japan is a great place to travel with babies. It’s amazing how hard it can be to even find a men’s room with a changing table in the US sometimes. They’re everywhere in Japan.
I can vouch for that, being of that persuasion, ran into one 9 years ago and it was obviously not a recent addition to the stall ornamentation.
Every bathroom should have these, and changing tables. Every. Bathroom.
That’s weird, because I’ve raised 6 kids during that time, and never saw a single one. Where you live?
Almost everywhere I see these the straps are broken. It's a nice gesture, but goes to show how much they really don't care.
I've seen them in Walmarts, but the straps are always broken, rendering them useless.
On any given day, I would probably have a 50% chance of completely forgetting I put my kid in there.
YES. At least in some men’s restrooms. I saw the little baby holder icon on the door.
I wonder if these are in any way a result of Japan’s efforts to boost birth rates in view of their aging population. It would be a sad fact if Americans didn’t get these conveniences simply because we (historically, on average) have more children.
