I’m not a bird watcher, I get bored and I’m not the type of person that gets off on learning all the various Latin names. But I do think knowing what is going on around me is important - so now I know we have juncos, chickadees and an occasional song sparrow at our feeder, red winged black birds down at the swamp and…
1. Better cops - Improved screening for mental health and behavioral issues, review of past affiliations (white supremacist groups, for example), and an end to favoritism given to ex-military that automatically moves them to the top of the list.
While most of it I’m putting back into savings, I am spending some of my “visiting friends” money on buying gifts from local businesses and having them shipped to my friends. It’s brought some fun and excitement to the sameness that’s been happening most of quarantine, and it helps small creators and businesses too.…
I have put reminders on my calendar at one week out for every trial I have taken advantage of. Yes. I know you can get email reminders from the service but having a calendar reminder pop up is better for me than sifting through my emails.
I suppose if you are older or immunocompromised, sure. But if not, then the reality is that your one mask might be the difference between a healthcare worker being able to keep showing up for work or getting infected and being down for a few weeks that our healthcare system doesn’t have.
Preferably a government agency focused on disease control and prevention that hadn’t been recently gutted of its department that specializes in infectious diseases by the head of the executive branch dreamt up by the commenter you replied to.
67 yrs old here. Spent 25 yrs doing technical security. Yeah. We can figure that out, child.
Steve Jobs would be 65 years old now. wozniak is 69. So, I’m sure they’ll be just fine. I know you were just trying to make an easy joke at the expense of the older generation ... but, honestly- who do you think invented the device you are so arrogantly typing on? *hint* It wasn’t us.
if you get a chance try fresh tarragon instead of rosemary. it just seems to go with buttery beef.
My brother and I both realized how rediculous money and giftcards could be when we both gave each other Amazon giftcards for Xmas on accident.
You say something along the lines of, “Thank you, that was so thoughtful.” No one has to ever get you a gift for any occasion so at the very least you can truthfully be thankful they did that.
Sometimes I think gift cards are the best choice. For someone you don’t know very well it’s a safe option, especially for coworkers. Great for grandkids too. Those preteen years can be a nightmare with fashion and music tastes. It’s better to let them get what they want instead of what you think they might enjoy.
There is no defense against this. Once you’re caught in it, you’ve just gotta let it roll over you.
A buddy of mine bought an older EV and put in some solar panels to charge while he’s parked.
I don’t know all the ins and outs of the setup, and it’s definitely not for everyone, but so far so good and it seems like a good way to get a cheap EV and squeeze the life out of it.
This not a celebration of his death. It is a mourning that he will not be here to face the consequences of his existence.
I completely agree. I also take my vacation time now every time. You see my wife’s parents and great grandparents regretting not having taken more vacations when they were younger. If that’s not your thing then fine, but I’d rather see the world and enjoy it now that I still can hike to places I know will not be as…
Joke’s on you Samantha, because the answer is no.
Ms. Clark, please show us your papers that prove you a smart enough to use Twitter.
Especially in Florida. Those kids would be lucky if they found their parents pot candy. They may have found something that could actually kill them like a gun or a poison snake.
