Controversy aside, it seems to me that they are doing him a favor by not letting him eat there.

I believe it is required by law in NYC that you must blast the horn at all times. That should take care of the silent part.

A friend of mine switched his old Camaro from a stick to automatic but he kept the clutch pedal under the floor mat so you would have to press it down that little bit to start the car. That was the best security system I have ever seen someone come up with on the fly.
