Thanks. Good case. I'm asking because I can't see a fit for myself and nothing else comes to mind so I'm thinking use cases tend to be very specific.

It's clear one can fetch date information. My question is, what are some tasks for which it would be useful to call this. Spyros gives a really good example of needing to get a day of the week for a particular distant date.
But how to you put the command to use?
Okay, that's one use case. Do I see two? Two use cases anyone?
I'm fully aware, but thank you. See my responses to the other two that kindly pointed out my error.
That's been pointed out. I didn't mean to say "vinegar" as this article isn't about baking soda and vinegar.
Oops. You're right. That was a brain fade. Sorry. Obviously I did not mean vinegar, considering this article isn't discussing vinegar at all.
Since it's the same difference, why not use the cheap baking soda and vinegar you likely already have on hand?
Thanks for the advice.
I keep considering rooting and modding my tablet. Are there mods that are better suited for tablet vs. phone?
I find the cleaning before leaving tip to work quite well, but we've always done it so we can return to a clean, relaxing house after a trip.

My wife does not like that I do it this way, but she likes that I do it so she lets it slide. And if everything on the bed ends up on the…
In contrast to the too frequent "who wears a watch anymore" comment, I can't wait to read a future Lifehacker article about something smartphone related and read the comment, "Who pulls their phone out of their pocket anymore. Just check your watch."
Cats love rings and plastic bottle caps.
Then I retract modern. Good hinges and good doors and you shouldn't have a problem. If you think you'll have one, then pass on the suggestion. I think that is generally a good rule of thumb.
Agreed. Not effortless enough for me. But having some way to do it is better than no way to do it.
Just a thought, but perhaps the suggestion is better if you're not already using the space for your clean stuff.
If you have remotely modern hinges, the weight of your laundry shouldn't be a problem.
