I was joking. No one that would be concerned enough to consider this and think it was all the security they would be accessing anything of importance on a public terminal. So, securing the password would be plenty sufficient.

Probably just saying that those aren't the only options for scanning a barcode and inputting your password.
And how would you get to this shortcut to use the shortcut unless you didn't use the shortcut, which would defeat the purpose of the shortcut.
Well that's neat. Of course, as soon as you're logged into your Gmail, you're kind of suck since the advantage would be the larger screen and keyboard, but you're afraid to use the keyboard because there might be a keylogger. But if you're just going to use it to navigate in and browse, why not. Of course, at this…
It wasn't necessary a "specific" choice. Could have been that's just how the dialogue flowed and they never considered that it might be a problem. Few of us parse our words so deliberately.
I'm going to put it on the toilet seats.
I'm with you. I think it's reached a point of foolishness. Here folks are talking about half centimeter differences. I can respect that to an extent, but we know this conversation quickly turns to arguing that that GadgetX is "too thick" compared to GadgetY because of a 1mm or 2mm difference. There have been…
I don't recall hearing of 6pm before, either. I guess they are a sister site or affiliate. My email came from Zappos, but I saw the story from a news posting that indicated the author had received notification from 6pm.
Don't think that was "small" in reference to the size of the software. I'm pretty sure it was in reference to the scope of what is responsible for the bug.
The same applies for 6pm.com
Understanding your problem, doing nothing isn't a good option. I haven't made my change yet (waiting on the second email) but I'd be surprised if they let you change it to the same password. And if you change it to a recent password, that could indicate a problem with your password generation strategy. Since you're…
Or do you man after cooking it?
Probably best to do pasta by weight.
There is (was?) a great cajun chef (cook?) named Justin Wilson. He had a show on PBS. He would always do measurements into his palm and then to show that he wasn't just BSing, he'd do the last measure into his palm then transfer it to a measuring cup or spoon. Nailed it every time.
Which I should have realized was your only objection since you indicated it in quoting that part of the post.
Pretty sure his statement assumes an object (person) standing on the surface of this more dense sphere.
It won't necessarily. However, at least in the US, that is the normal method to end an SMS subscription. Whether or not it is effective for you would depend on the particulars. Since SMS spam often comes from unscrupulous sources, it may do nothing.
I do use a bookmark to the blog layout, but it's of no use when I'm coming to LH via my RSS reader.
Did you try replying to a message with the word "stop"?
True, and while I certainly appreciate Melanie's opinion an the content of this post, note of that changes the humor in a site that requires me opt-out of a feature (this latest default layout) by clicking a less than obvious icon and then doesn't retain the setting choice i made has an article criticizing a site that…
