The 19 inch wheels that came from the factory on my Golf R. I consider them a mod because all the other golfs come on 18's or smaller. those 19's and the terrible, brittle ride are the R’s biggest flaw. 

funny enough, something that minor can necessitate more mods. I lowered my golf about an inch and added 10mm spacers, now i need camber plates so i can adjust for proper tire wear

Pop/Crackle Tunes.

Same when they go the other way and lift them. Often makes the vehicle less capable on road without significantly changing off road capability. Even worse when they fail to address things like control arm issues from the lift or, even worse, hack up their 4WD system to make the lift work.

Lifted trucks. Trucks are already overpriced, but then to drop more money on a lift kit with giant wheels screams, “I use my truck to go to the mall.”

Certain exhaust systems, we’ve all had it where you know your buddy is 4 blocks away.

Pointless lift kits that reduce the truck’s capabilities.

The vast majority of suspension mods. Outside of maybe a 1" drop for looks, I’d say 90% of hobby-tuner suspension modifications serve to make the car uncomfortable and more unpredictable. Occasionally they are done right, but most of the time you get a bouncy uncomfortable ride with snap oversteer, terrible understeer…
