If you read the article by Robb (who knows the ‘Ring better than most people currently alive on this planet) it wasn’t “Tesla can’t do this,” it was “Tesla should take time and do this right because the track is on another level.”

It’s just a color name, and it’s a good color. The issues you bring up have merit generally, but you’re stretching in this case.
I would hope that the good shit we sell to the sketchier countries has a remote kill switch built in. I’d rather we had the kill code and not the Russians or Chinese.
I’m not defending US imperialism, but there isn’t a ton of nuance in the question this result is derived from. The survey asked, reading through the linked document for that question:
It’s a touchy subject. Some systems and weapons I have no issue with. It also depends on the country. It’s not all black and white.
Selling weapons makes us safer because it forces customers to become strategic allies/partners via the magic of service contracts.
I’m entirely cool with selling weapons systems to our democratic allies (members of NATO, Japan, Australia, etc). The problem is that we also sell to sketchier countries that we’re looking to influence or want to try and keep in our orbit.
We love love love loved our Allroad, but are thinking about moving to something different, because as my wife says “there are just too many Allroads in our area and I want something a little more unique.”
Some say that selling weapons to Taiwan only antagonizes the Chinese Communist Party.
That would be a stinging rebuke if Jalopnik gave Tesla shit for making EVs, and not, you know, issues with their business practices.
Thanks for this. I had been trying to find out the previous fastest 4-door, and thought it was the Cadillac CTS-V at 1:38.52 driven by Randy Pobst. The Caddy has a roughly 500lb weight advantage over a Model S, and around 650hp.
Repeat after me - touchscreens are fucking awful for tasks you don’t want to look at for anything more than a second. Why people think touchscreens are good for shit like climate control and infotainment controls is beyond me.
Can you imagine how insanely bright the interior will be at night with this screen?
The greatest trick that Devel ever pulled was convincing the world they exist
Don’t blame soccer moms any more than their husbands.
No. No. No. In the bizarro car world we are in, you make a jacked up SUV based on your normal car platform. Then you can charge a lot more for it.
How in the world a used FWD midsize is the best sedan you can get for $25K ?
Hopefully the space Europeans won’t be colonizing jerks like the earth ones.
