hey man, lay off the americans. after all they’re not the ones who are, state by state making it illegal to even feed the homeless through charity.

How very nice of you to assume that when France is doing something, it must be stupid.

Does Tylenol even work?

The idea of Wilson being 35 being some sort of scandal is ridiculous. The buried lede here is that she looks fucking amazing for 35 (not that 35’s ancient but her signature role involves her passing for mid-20s).

Read the linked In Touch article. They did not turn him in, nor did he get counseling of any kind.

41% of 259 people surveyed via land-line telephone. Which means people over the age of 65 years who’ve got nothing better to do but talk to strangers about their 1950’s out-dated view of the world. People who haven’t had to work for a living for a decade or more or raise a child in 40+ years.

This is an anecdote, just an anecdote it does not mean to judge anyone:
I absolutely adore my mom. She’s my best friend, my light, my example. She went back to work 3 months after I was born. We lived in a developing country in a rural area and she was the only mom I knew that worked. Being honest, I did feel bad

I don’t have a child (so take this as you will?), but I have always hoped that if I stayed at work—which is the plan due to finances—the time spent at my job would help make me a better parent, and vice versa.

She is doing awesome at daycare. This is the job you wanted and worked hard for. There is absolutely nothing wrong with working out this blend of good things.

I am silently screaming in rage (figuratively, not really) about this 41%. I’m a childless guy who has a gig where I could work from home but I prefer to work in the office, because it’s calmer and I like the sociability of the place. Two of my most beloved coworkers are mothers of pre-school children. Do these 41%

Thanks!! Seriously, I liked the girl and she was super cute, but I was sooooooo proud of him at that moment. He chose brains over looks. I did it, you guys!

I stayed home for 20 months. When I went back to work I got a mixed review. Working moms congratulated me and rallied in support with daycare drama and tips and tricks. Stay at home mom friends were generally supportive but didn’t “get” why I'd go back to work. The least supportive person was my own stay at home mom

Two things:

I’m not sure what that has to do with the fact that most people in MA are against the death penalty, in general and in this case, including at least some people directly affected by the bombings.

For death penalty cases they will only allow jurors who are “death qualified” which means they are comfortable with the application of the death penalty. So just because they pulled a bunch of Massachusetts residents into the jury, it doesn’t mean they represented the broader opinion of the Massachusetts general

I’m very upset too, although not terribly surprised. But this goes against the will of the majority of people in MA. If anyone should have their wishes respected it’s them; they were the most effected by him.

IF YOUR MORALS AND ETHICS ARE CONTINGENT ON THE PEOPLE YOU ARE INTERACTING WITH, YOU HAVE NEITHER MORALS OR ETHICS.

I’m from MA, too (although I don’t live there anymore) and I am genuinely shocked that this happened for exactly those reasons.

No shit. A federal court with a jury filled with people from Massachusetts.

WTF? We don’t do that here in Massachusetts.
