That’s a good analogy. In it’s adjectival form it seems to be descriptive while acknowledging personhood, while as a noun it eliminates personhood in a way.

This language is nearly identical to the rationales used by early colonists to justify the genocide and forced assimilation of Aboriginal populations. Removed from the book or not, I will never look at her the same again.
