Hey, I'm all for it if they can pull both off. Just give me the option to have the Windows 7 Start menu with an easy toggle when I'm not in the mood for metro (or I'm using a desktop/laptop), and I'm completely sold that a desktop & tablet OS can co-exist together.

Exactly, that's why I pointed out "as it is in this developers preview". Saying I hate a portion of a "developers preview" doesn't mean I hate technology, it means I'm giving valuable feedback... =)

I'm not even saying "keep it away from my desktop"; like I said above, give me a SIMPLE option to disable Metro, and I'm game.

I didn't see a "Shut Down" when I logged off.

Anyone know how to get to "Shut Down"? When I click the start button it just takes me back to the tablet style menu (which would be awesome on a tablet, but imo sucks ass on my laptop)...
