I’m sure Obama has always desired to be just like William Howard Taft.

Please fuck off with this shit.  We don’t need businessmen in the White House, because government is not the same as business.  They may be superficially related, but they just aren’t the same.  We need people who have political experience in the White House and in Congress.  Being the CEO of a big bank does not make

CP.  I just can’t figure out who would buy this car and why?  If you’re looking for a cheap car to buy, there are certainly better options for $1500, right?  This car isn’t exactly a classic.  It’s someone’s 30 year old daily driver.

Yeah, this is sort of my problem with conceiving this. Sure, the Leaf is out there, but it still doesn’t have very good range and it’s ugly as sin. The ugliness came out of Toyota’s success with the Prius—the fact that the Prius was conventionally pretty allowed all that smugness that people got out of driving one.

This is a beautiful comment.

Dude, your comment was bizarre, because, without evidence, you accuse me of being pedantic about language, but then you are yourself being pedantic about language. It was just a weird comment. My second point was that GM calls them brands, not marques. So, your claim that they are marques and not brands is

What does a cheap electric car look like in 5 years? I wonder about this, because what we have seen so far is luxury and performance companies producing expensive vehicles and claiming huge horsepower numbers. At some point, there have to be smaller motors with less horsepower, right? Or is that just not how electric

I ceed what you did there.

Yeah, it’s amazing that Apple can build a $200 building in Silicon Valley.  At $1000 a piece, they probably only needed to sell one or two iPhones to fund that tiny, tiny building.

Also a corvette is a boat.  However, Corvette is not a brand.  It’s a model.

Vodka and ranch dressing.

This is indeed a depressing day for alliteration based advertising.

We would crest turn one flat at around 160 mph and continue to just under 170 before braking into turn two.

Mercedes continues to have the best interiors.  Look at the E class and the S class.  The whole dash flows across the car and the display screen is smoothly integrated.

I have noticed a fair number of Teslas and plug-in hybrids, like the i3, in Manhattan parking garages.  I think if you bought one of those cars, you could probably work a deal with your garage to install a charging system.  Ultimately, it won’t be that big of a problem for most people who live in Manhattan and park

This is kind of a neat idea, but it’s not apparent that it would have appreciably better aero than a normal 911.  The original slant nose was from the days when the 911 had headlights where the leading edge was nearly vertical.  Now they’re all slanty.

There is a Porsche logo on the hood . . .

“raping its customer.”
