And lets not forget that most of his best works were backed up Susumu Hirasawa, who is one of the greatest musicians who has ever lived. I mean, just listen to "Yume no Shima Shinen Kouen":

I'd argue that the 80s actually really tried to make an honest go of depicting hacking, and that each trope got exponentially worse as time went on.

I just want to say that 2000's era movies still have just as little idea of what to do with computers, but far less excuse.
