I don’t really follow these things, but am curious, has there been any significant backlash against the Kardashians throwing such lavish parties in “these times”?

I mean, we could all just agree to ignore the Ks. Nothing of value will be lost...

Ah but you are all right of course about the wait staff.  Their employer needs to pay through the nose for their care.

There were a huge amount of protests in Texas and California, and the protesters were people in their 20s-30s, and that’s where the surge is happening. The places where they protested and there hasn’t been a spike were mainly places where there was already a spike earlier in the spring.
Both things can be true:

I agree, nothing will get through to his cult members.

so, so many better things to know in life. Not really like any lifesaving info there that’ll help you survive in the apocalypse ... maybe learn up what poisonous ‘shrooms look like or some better use of yer brain

Not everyone wants to or can run.

It is funny how people say you shouldn’t go to the gym because of air conditioning. They have no problem going shopping in stores where there is air conditioning and people are forced to work to keep them fed.

I’m concerned about the trend of fear-mongering over air conditioning. Calling AC a “virus leaf-blower” seems a tad bit alarmist and out of step with scientific opinion. Sure, AC circulates everyone’s breath throughout the building, but it passes through a filter first. If the filters aren’t protecting us, why hasn’t

BTW, small point, but Missouri is a constitutional carry state. A permit is still offered but is not needed in most instances.

Sorry, but Kimmel was not funny during his Man Boy Show days, and he isn’t funny now. Giving him credit for being slightly less of a prick now that his profile is higher doesn’t change that fact.  He simply isn’t funny or witty.  His only saving grace is he isn’t as bad as James Corden.

Notice how the people shown signing the petition are virtually all women while the one person who points out that “suffrage” means right to vote is a man - so the joke is obviously that dumb women don’t know what the term means and how smart Kimmel and Carolla are that they could trick women into signing a petition

There’s no defending any piece of what this woman did. However, asking questions about whether animals are receiving adequate care on the streets is not “concern trolling,” especially in the context of the sweeping generalizations made in this press release. They’ve gone beyond the scope of the situation at hand and cl

Honestly y’all this is a really bad take. It seems like she definitely could have done more due diligence about the appropriate chain of command that should be followed before accepting an animal into her rescue. But that dog *couldn’t walk*. She was severely malnourished, covered in excrement, and had a badly

If you go to her rescue page, you can see that the dog was clearly abused. The rescue owner picked up the dog after it was surrendered at the vet. She has said she has no problem with pets living with houseless people, and plenty of houseless people take good care of their pets. This dog was in an extreme state of

A few thoughts:

He has also been a creep to his female guests.

I like Silverman, but I am puzzled by some of her choices.

Some people believed his relationship with Sarah Silverman gave him feminist cred. I’m not one of those people.

Not sure I get the backlash either: the 2017 movie that was acclaimed as practically the biggest feminist step since women’s voting... cast a slim, physically perfect former model, without any OMG-ugly-manly muscles, whose armor was always cleaner and shinier than that the rest of the Amazons, who wore just the
