Still, if you say yes, the person will spend extra preparing your spot. I was raised to only cancel under extreme circumstances, if I'd RSVP'd yes. Part of being an adult is sometimes just sucking it up and going, even if it's not what you personally feel like doing at this very moment.

That happened to me. I threw a Christmas party over the weekend, provided all booze, made all the food myself (not chips and salsa, we're talking caviar pie, homemade spreads etc), even got boozey prizes (it was ugly sweater theme) and planned it about 3-4 weeks in advance. 30 people invited, SIX RSVPS. I hunted down

This may be slightly off topic, but people who respond to Facebook RSVPs with "Maybe" should be fined, if not jailed.

People who don't RSVP when you're spending your own money to entertain them, thus causing you to have to overdo it on the food and beverages, are the WORST. I hate these people. It's one thing to not show up to your friends party down the street that was thrown together that day for drinking, it's another thing to not

It does get better! The first few times I tried watching it I would sit through 10 minutes of the first ep and give up. It does take a while for the characters to find their footing but once they do it's amazing.

Season 1 and some of season 2 are odd. It was meant to be more like the Office, but just doesn't work.

Valerie Morrow did everything "right", and still she is dead on the streets. This is why people don't report, this is why people don't trust cops. Also as soon as he resigned, someone should have contacted Ms. Marrow because actions like that indicate a state of mind which is deadly.

A few years ago, my aunt wouldn't shut up about how she was getting into great shape for the family reunion cruise we were gonna take in May. My other aunts/her sisters aren't small women and didn't have nearly enough time to dedicate to getting in shape (and two couldn't afford to go), so it was kind of obnoxious.

Holy shit, the dude at 2:20- "I don't wanna know about it. I think people do nasty things in the dark, especially after a terrorist attack."

"I don't wanna know about it"

"I don't wanna know about it"

I think I see the problem here, guys. People on "the news" just don't wanna, like, know about things.

Eh? It's not like the fans of Serial are going to free Adnan. I'd be pissed off if I'm just trying to live my life and some hipster (and I love Serial so I'm only partly teasing there) ran up to me to tell me he thinks my son is innocent. That don't pay the bills and it sure as hell doesn't get my son out of jail,

Cat shit can be extremely dangerous to both pregnant women and newborn babies. So stop being a twit. Seriously.

Every single time Chris Pratt is brought up, there's always at least one person reminding everyone that he once found another loving home for a cat with needs that he could not accommodate anymore. I guess it's you this time.

The remarkable thing, to me, about this is the continuing dystopian fantasy about "women's privileges" maintained by these nutcases and far too many who don't pull out the guns, but complain privately. If you quiz them about what these "privileges" are, they'll tell you:

- women expect and get free everything
- women

my number one life suggestion is never pee on your own time

"There is no other mission in the world for our military where this much failure would be allowed," Gillibrand added.

A mansplainer who insisted he wasn't a Wilson apologist showed up to my Facebook page last night to say that it's okay Wilson wasn't indicted because there is no "true" evidence, like a video, and then asserted that if cops had cameras it would solve everything because, obviously, "you can't deny video evidence."

Fun fact: most people are able to listen to more than one type of podcast.

Even better when you haven't even heard it to know what you're tsk-tsking. Or read the article above. Thumbs up, well done!

I asked him what happened when we got out of the elevator. He told me he was terrified because security was there.

I think they gave the pardoning a turkey ceremony exactly the amount of disinterest and disdain it required.
