I'm with you. As a cancer survivor (FYI- cancer patients don't receive wigs from Locks of Love unless they have permanent hair loss) I'm sick of Locks of Love getting by without any scrutiny. They burn hair, they sell hair, and the charity basically became a way to finance rich women's luncheons and dinner parties.

They actually do buy hair though. They sell the donated hair they get or burn it and then they buy "virgin" hair to make wigs.

I don't think anything has ever hit home this hard. It's multi-generational for me too, my grandma did it before she died and now my mom is in the process of converting into this person.

You have more patience than I do.

I don't think they necessarily have a higher rate of misogyny but I do think that nerd culture tends to pretend they are "better" than other men when they're just the same shit in a different package.

You forgot to say you don't get off on stealing candy from babies. No prize for you!

I have a bunch of strawberries I planned to roast for ice cream but I'm on day 7 of 100 degree + temps so I decided to skip that route. Some balsamic strawberries sound amazing right now though.

I had a nasty episode with mayo once and for 5 years I couldn't touch it. Now I can eat it if I don't have to see it. If it drips out a bun, it's a no go. If I want chicken salad I make my husband scoop out the mayo and stir it so I don't have to look at it. Even then it's very rough but I crave chicken salad once a

I have plenty of friends who are parents but there's one friend I lost that says that about me all the time. She can't see the connection with how she stopped calling, stopped answering my calls, and would only talk about formula poops at our few lunch dates. It's not me, it's you.

I'm right there with you.

It's the next reply to the main post. It's a preview of the next conversation progression so you don't have to scroll back to the top to the little icons to move ahead.

Last week I had 100 degree days in STL and it was 20% humidity and I was like "This is amazing! I love this!" and then we switched to 100 degrees and 30% humidity and I was like "Kill me now!" and at the moment I'm in a gap between storms (no rain, just hail) I am at 76 degrees with 81% humidity and it is the worst of

And then again November-February when the snow and winds come.

People ask why I want to move to Seattle. I show them the weather for this year and then they get it. St. Louis has been miserable.

Totally agree with your assessment.

It was 108 today in my part of the Midwest and it's not really any cooler in Chicago. A lot of people don't have A/C so they change their sleep schedules to be asleep in the hottest part of the day.

I really do miss my star smugness and I haven't taken advantage of my Prius smugness yet so I guess it's time to break that out. It'll be an adjustment but I do what needs to be done for the sake of smugness levels everywhere.

This is smug shaming.
