You know what? I just don't care anymore. I don't care about the FT-86. It won't be light, and it will feel like the last Supra. I don't want that.

@Chairman Kaga: In person, it's about the same size as the last Toyota Supra. Hopefully not about the same weight...

The entire auto industry. For being so devoid of enthusiasm that they (with 3 or possibly 4 exceptions) only create fun cars at prices which I will never be able to afford. And for steadfastly refusing to built anything small, light and RWD with the exception of the Miata. I'm a married family man. I need a 4 door

@Whack-A-mole: 570hp, AWD and a 2200 and change pound curb weight mean it'll be quick. Physics don't lie.

Ugly as sin, but the performance and design make it worth the money, almost.

Fulvias are cool. Water-cooled 911 Turbos are not. Nor is a salvage title.

@milkplus: They were working on an NSX replacement, and then canned it (that concept begat the HSV). I remember reading an interview with the CEO where he said that until the economy changed, he couldn't see Honda having a reason to do anything enthusiast oriented, and all of their current engineering minds are

@Adidac425: But outside the US, the RL is just badged as a Honda, so in a sense, we are the outlier with that one...

@milkplus: Not really. Outside the Fit, and I suppose the Civic Type-R, Honda does just about nothing worthwhile on 4 wheels anymore. And that fault lies directly with Honda Corporate in Japan...

@sirbasilfawlty: Yeah, the V4 is key. Aprilia do have their new one, although I don't know how great parts availability would be. Actually, that issue would be exactly like the original, so perhaps more appropriate...

@sirbasilfawlty: Yes, but the Desmosedici is so awfully expensive and unobtanium. You could find a V-Max or Interceptor motor to play with. I'm not so sure I could find a Ducati V4 to play with. And I wouldn't want to just use a plebian V-twin. Then someone might think a Harley swap would be acceptable...

@TrampaOnline: I think it's just a general case of having run out of 99- sequence numbers. Ah well, I guess that's the price paid for non-sequential codes...

This car has epic potential. The engine may be incorrect, but that just provides the excuse to have blasphemous fun by inserting the V4 from a Honda Interceptor...

@ChiefPontiaxe: And that is another example of why Dan Gurney is so damn smart.

It would appear that no one in the British motoring press can do a review that doesn't look like an attempt at a Top Gear segment.

@SpainIsInYurp: You'd probably be thinking George Clooney or the like. Although if Ford wanted to better tie the Bond films into the rest of their marketing, and get serious about doing a C-platform coupe (AWD+EcoBoost =awesome?), you could take the approach of asking "What would Felix Leiter drive?"

@The Stig's American Cousin: I enjoy cars. I just enjoyed a really good deal more than buying an ever-so-slightly less dull compact family saloon that had enthusiast "credibility"...

@Se7en_speed: That is probably a scarily accurate guesstimate of overall sales.

@switzerr: I was thinking the same, just in Kona Blue with light wheels...
