Ultraviolet Walking Dead … now, that would be less bleak, for sure.

She did once mention bicycles, but that suggestion went nowhere.

Interesting thought. If true, when Carol finds out that Daryl lied to her, she won't be angry. She'll be grateful and touched that he tried to shield her. She hasn't known much protection in her life, and if it comes in the form of lies, at least they're lies from people who care enough about her to understand

It's true that he might feel guilty but I didn't see it that way. I don't get all of the "Glenn was killed because of Daryl" talk. If you defy a bully and the bully does something awful, whose fault is that? Yours, or the bully's? Bullies depend on that paralysis.

Agreed, Saramis. The best parallel I can think of is Mulder and Scully. Rick and Michonne now trust each other completely and have each other's backs. Their relationship works for me. It wasn't until they found themselves in a reasonably secure domestic situation that they could slow down for a moment and see each

You were correct the first time, though. It's perfectly okay to say "I found most of the dialog really clunky" because "really clunky" modifies how you found the dialog to be. There is a silent "to be," and that's okay — "I found most of the dialog (to be) really clunky." It's like saying, "I found the room chilly"

Another moment of dark humor: Enid tells them to step outside (through the front door, not the back, as Gregory had demanded). Several Hilltop people are there. Maggie asks what's up and their spokeswoman begins with, "Hey … if you don't remember, I'm Birdie."

I was curious what Gabriel was looking at after he ransacked the pantry. It's the old armory ledger. You can see A) machine guns, B) rifles, C) shotguns, and (I suspect) D) pistols, with a doodle of Lucille sketched over all. (This is just before he mutters, "Just checking.")

Not "they," to be fair. Jesus didn't show up until the deed was done, and he looked as shocked as Morgan did when Morgan walked in on Rick executing Pete.

Spencer's mother didn't write the list; he found it on the compound bow guy's body. His mother simply had him study Latin.

I am liking the handling of the Rick/Michonne relationship. Here are two characters who do not need each other. They are equals, and they are together by choice, and thus far the relationship has been healthy, in that they curb each other's excesses for the greater good. We viewers are not led to believe that

Spencer said he had found a list of cache sites written in Latin; he joked that his mother had said he'd find Latin useful one day. Gabriel would have been the one to tend to Spencer's body; he'd have found that list, and he would almost certainly be able to read Latin. I still don't know how that explains why

I don't think Aaron lost the power of speech (though I remember him getting pretty tongue-tied when Rick ordered him to eat applesauce). I think he immediately realized that there was nothing he could say that would stop them (same result as if he'd looked at them funny). I suspect it was like Negan having the pool

Although it would have been hilarious if Eugene had been the target of the shot that took out Olivia (being as Negan was trying to find the person who made the round), I like him. He and Tara are the only comic relief we have, now that Abraham is gone.

Yes, he did, when Eugene took the RV solo as a decoy. Rick would have not only the instructions, but knowledge of where the facility is. Now that Negan has Eugene, he has Eugene's know-how, but Eugene can stall him by saying they need to find a proper facility to turn spent ammo into live rounds. Negan wouldn't have

If Riggs were in a chorus he'd be a low bass, and he's surrounded by grown men who are tenors. (My son was like that; he didn't look imposing but his voice meant he was regularly cast as the villain in school musicals.) And yet, the 'Carl' from the source is still a child at this point in the narrative. I think

Negan knew he was going to kill Spencer before the game ever began. Why have the pool table moved outside? Not because it was a nice day — because he wanted to ensure an audience for what was to follow. Atrocities done in the dark have no PR value.

So … Spencer had a list of cache sites written in Latin. If you didn't know Latin you wouldn't attach any significance to that tattered piece of paper, but Spencer had told others about it. There's no way he could have found and foraged them all. I hope someone checked his pockets.

Fr. Gabriel probably knows

It was noted earlier (I forget by whom) that the Kingdom people were carrying weapons matching those built and forged by the Hilltop people. Jesus had implied there were several communities, in his "Your world is about to get a whole lot bigger" speech. He probably didn't want to go into detail until he knew the
