I gather that Jesus not only put Sasha and Maggie in the bedroom closet; he took the opportunity to move Gregory's liquor stash to the downstairs closet, so Gregory would have something to reveal. Gregory's reaction was somewhat akin to Bluto Blutarsky's in "Animal House."

Good point. He was so proud of that line that he decided not only to emblazon a yellow tee-shirt with it, but to wear it on national television.

Did everyone in Alexandria think, "Might as well toss out the box springs and bed frames because we don't have mattresses anymore"? Or did Negan's crew take everything, even the headboards? How many moving vans did they have?

I was also thinking that maybe Dwight sent Rosita on the "fetch the bike" errand because he had concealed something else there that would be of use to them. Damn my imagination.

Not only did Gabriel get the jump on Negan but I think that Rick didn't know what he meant by "Would you like to pay your respects?" I don't think Rick knew about the empty grave at that point.

I'm hoping that Enid has some serious McGyver-like plans for those balloons.

Now I'm wishing she had.

When he was loading the bike I thought that Rosita had gotten tired of listening to him and gone off on her own. And then he could panic at the first sign of danger.
I think you'll get your wish soon, though. He might as well wear a red shirt every episode from here on in.

I thought it was curious, too. It can't serve as a pivotal plot point, as it changes nothing. Carl has probably known all along, just as his father has. I can see the writers bringing up as his commitment to seeing Judith grow up being the real reason for Rick's current decisions, but her parentage is interesting

I think it's in character, though. Daryl has never been known as the devious type. He grew up under Merle's tutelage and he learned that to appease was to invite more ass-kicking. He would also know that he's the club that Negan holds over Rick. If he dies, Negan loses that advantage — and Daryl (especially given

Good post. I saw a lot of callbacks to Darryl's "You'll be sorry." Some saw it as a threat when they first met; I saw it as a statement of fact. Darryl offered them a more civilized haven but their fear drove them back to the "protection" offered by Negan.

I'm probably giving the show too much credit, but I saw a parallel to where Morgan is. Morgan thought he had been given the direction of his life by the cheese maker, but actual events have caused him to rethink his choices.

About that photo … that is a unique throne construction, with the right foot having to be on the footrest. Is that, like Negan's jacket, a design taken from the source?

Correct. We know more of Tara's back story, the loss of her family, her horror at assisting with the destruction of the prison, and her penance, so to speak, by having Glenn trust in her, than we do of a lot of other characters.

Carol did have a "thing" with Tobin but I suspect that she initiated that out of an attempt to connect with others (and, perhaps, boredom, though Tobin would be no cure for boredom). I loved the small smile. She knows Ezekiel is interested and she's enjoying being the object of a different kind of pursuit.

The Hilltop also had people going about producing and living. Rick's group has more in common with the Saviors (take from others) than with the Hilltop or the Kingdom. They traded on their bad-assery as their commodity, and were outclassed — but I think it goes back to the fact that they've been bad-ass of necessity.

Think of the prison, and the plague that ensued. The pigs were the likely vectors (and maybe for the same reason) which is why the Kingdom is fine with the "well-fed" pigs' bellies being full of rot before they are handed over.

I liked that Ezekiel has the ability to judge character that Deanna claimed to have. He knew that Morgan and Carol weren't being forthright but he also grasped that Morgan has valuable skills and a solid moral compass, and he knew that Carol had survived standing up to some of the Saviors. His community is a bit
