I know it’s childish, but I still laugh internally every time I see someone coming out of Costco with what practically amounts to a palette of toilet paper. Rough Taco Tuesday life, y’all.

Personally, I like that they’re not faking Russian accents, since it usually comes across as cartoonist. I suppose Russian actors would have been a good idea, but, then you have to find enough that can speak English well enough to really pull off all the parts.

That left her with no obvious niche, and rather than trying to find one it seems like she’s trying to go broad instead. 

They specifically chose a neighborhood in Vilnius that still has a high concentration of Soviet prefab concrete apartment blocks from the 1970s, which are basically identical to the ones in Pripyat. Even the attention to detail in the aircraft - like the inside of Boris Shcherbina’s state helicopter - was amazing. Incredible miniseries that hits right on the folly of man like a lead sledge hammer.
