Charles winning was the best part.
Charles winning was the best part.
One of the best RR's yet. Sounds like both parties had a ball.
They'd have to cast somebody good wouldn't they? Someone like Timothy Olyphant, or maybe Hugh Laurie.
I don't think Dalton was even trying to make Bond his own. He was playing the character as written by Fleming, and probably got closer than anyone to achieving that (sorry Connery fans).
Graham Greene is just an entertaining screen presence in basically everything he's done, and he doesn't disappoint in this.
That whole sequence of him pretending to be from the city engineering office and then a Dutch flower seller is tremendous fun.
And you have Jeremy Irons clearly having the time of his life.
Every Christmas Eve. Me, a bottle of Southern Comfort, a Chinese takeaway and Die Hard. Can't beat it.
Kudos for praising Die Hard with a Vengeance. Always been hugely underrated for me. Certainly as much fun as the original, if not its equal in quality.
Please be Kristen Schaal.
Let's hope this series isn't a pile of self indulgent wank. So far they've managed it with one out of three (not including specials).
Agree. Too many IPA's taste like you've just taken a bite out of a tulip. The hops are overpowering. You have to have something else in the mix too to make it perfect. The best ones manage that.
Someone call Scott Bradlee!
Can remember Jeffrey Combs getting linked to it at the time, and he'd worked with Jackson before. Might have been him.
The greater good…
If it had been 20/30 minutes shorter, I'd agree with you.
Methos!
Dan Radcliffe is a smart cookie.
L.A. Confidential is a film that hasn't dated and absolutely holds up. Even once you've seen it and know the plot twists you're still entranced by the performances, script and direction.
I'm in a (very small) minority, but there was a lot about season five to like for me. That and the Ray Stevenson arc of the next. The rest of it after season four was a shitshow though.
