And she clarified on Twitter that she called him that only after he had been berating and belittling her.

I actually thought "Man, something about this feels a little off" as he was apologizing. I was thinking maybe it was just that everything Dan does seems so contrived and false. But before I could brush that feeling off, BOOM! Dan immediately undercuts his apology.

No, please share.

So am I. It's just become a fait accompli at this point. The Axis of Evil will continue playing the game not realizing that Mike already won.

I love that comparison. I'm going to make it on the podcast this week (and credit you, of course).

The AV Club (rightly) disabled downvoting, but I just wanted to make it clear that I downvoted you for that comment since you'd have no other way of knowing.

Even *I* don't think Mike should have given his idol to Shirin.

YES! Everything about him this season just seems contrived. Which makes his assholish behavior even more inexplicable.

I don't hate Mike. I said before the season that he seemed incredibly charming and endearing, and I think that's true. The only negative scenes he's had were accusing people of not working hard enough and allowing Dan to apologize to Sierra.

You betta RELAX, BRO!

Oh, I thought you were just intentionally getting the information wrong. For jokes!

I'm completely in the bag for Shirin, and even I thought the fact that there were two immunity necklaces tonight was unfair.

Congratulations to Mike on winning this season. When does next season start?

I hope you all never have to endure the pain of being adopted, which is apparently equivalent to growing up in an abusive household.

Thanks! And spoiler alert for this week's podcast, but I think Mike could still win as well. I don't think Shirin can, though.
