Yes, technically. Though based on their response to the backlash they claim they’ll only go after those trying to confuse consumers. The company’s own statement says that titles that simply have cyberpunk in the name shouldn’t be considered an infringement of their trademark. We’ll find out if they stick to that if

Your comment implies that only CD Project Red can make cyberpunk videogames, which isn’t true. Anyone can still make a game, or any medium, in the cyberpunk genre. They just can’t call it Cyberpunk ####, or something close to that.

Oh, it’ll continue to waver between “fake account” and “liberal traitor” for as long as they can use it to radicalize someone with a bible and a gun (and who’s only cracked open one of the two).

Your last sentence made me think “the leaks are real but the news is very fake.”

“Not the views of DHS or USCIS.”

Oh damn, I’ve been following that account. Consensus among people in the field is that the person running it definitely works within USCIS but isn’t at the highest level; the supposed inside information is often rumors that any other lowish-level employee would have heard through the grapevine. Or it’ll be a

I am automatically in favor of anything that upsets him.

Trump? Abusing his power? Say it ain’t so.

Yeah, the prescription, or over-prescribing is the gateway.

Love how the GOP is all about small government and not interfering in people’s lives. But when it comes to weed --among other things-- they suddenly ignore all that and have to get involved. I wish someone would beat Jeff Sessions and Mitch McConnell in the street with a baseball bat.

I agree with nuuhara. While in general I’m all for loosening up copyright laws, given our current laws it seems arbitrary to distinguish between a movie and a game simply because the latter features interactivity. Games that are purely narrative shouldn’t be denied the same protections as feature films—especially

The best part is when these streamers complain they were given no warning and ask for a warning next time... And a company fucking comes out and warns them and they STILL fucking cry. This scene is absurd.

Why are people watching somebody else play this amazing game instead of playing it for themselves?

I agree. I am not a fan of lets play videos, and never seen one for more than 5 minutes straight. For me, if I see one of them it would just spoil the story when I actually decide to get the game and play it myself. That is why I don’t see them. Now if you are 100% sure you won’t buy the game, of course you may watch

While I think there can be games that are good to share, linear story oriented games are not it.

I have to agree. We don’t allow people to just stream 2 hour movies, why would a 100+ hour narrative heavy RPG be okay? Is the value of all the work that goes into the game $0? Is it just the fact that you control it with your own input that warrants the $60 price? It’s a weird situation...

I also agree, I get Atlus’ position since this game seems to be heavily story-driven. If those streamers don’t like it they can simply boycott it and stream something else.

Honestly my big reason with being ok with this, is that we live in a day and age where avoiding spoilers for games is increasingly hard to do, so I don’t mind that there a few less people with screenshots and videos of spoilers out there.

Completely agree, let’s not fool ourselves, the majority of people who watch let’s play videos are not going to buy the game because they have already seen what it is about. Much less in story-driven games where they can see the story unfold, what reason is there for people to buy the game if they have already seen

I absolutely agree with Atlus and the content protection laws on this. Streaming the gameplay in a game like this can really hurt sales more than with other types of games.
