What it boils down to is whether the NFL should be entertaining, or a sacred and unimpeachable litigation of the Gridiron Talmud.  I prefer the former, even if it means a blown call here or there.

The NFL’s approach to rules brings to mind Terry Pratchett’s Horseradish Sauce Hypothesis, which is as follows:

Your first and last sentences directly contradict each other.

Perfect metaphor for America right now. Nobody but a fucking asshole wants the president we have, and nobody but a fucking asshole wants to see this team in another Super Bowl. Just one more thing to endure.

They missed the point. They in no way addressed forcing pregnancy on a woman or a forced heterosexual relationship. They made these decisions clearly out of valuing women and LGBTQ people less than straight men.

“The Turian?” You earned pro cred with femshep and then plebed out fantastically.

I’m guessing they’re the same people who skip as fast as possible through the modern day sequences, because you’d have to to miss Layla gathering Aya’s DNA and loading it into the animus, and all the dialog explaining what they were doing and how.

It does feel like a far cry (no pun) from “women are expensive to animate”, doesn’t it? Maybe they’re learning. Sorta. -ish.

Just because thoughtlessness isn’t the same as outright malice, doesn’t mean it’s not hurtful.

Aaaand, who are you to decide what interpretation of anything is acceptable and what not?

Seriously. To me one of the most confusing aspects of this discussion is that people who allegedly played Origins or Odyssey claiming that the main characters needed descendents. I mean it was pretty clearly implied that Bayek or Aya didn’t have any more children.

But there’s nothing to indicate the writer forgot the tech. Layla isn’t related to Bayek or Kassandra/Alexios. Bayek and Aya didn’t have children again so they’re not related to Desmond/his family. From the themes set up towards the end of the main game of reuniting the family and the conversation about raising a

Maybe. But the fact that Ubi basically trampled over the player’s choice of romantic partner/sexual encounter/whathaveyou, which includes denying people who have been playing as a non-hetero, it’s really easy to jump into that conclusion.

Identical twins also typically share biological sex :)

Not twins, just siblings.

It was explicitly laid out in Origins the new Animus only requires a DNA sample of the person whose memories you want to explore, no familial relationship required.

This whole story makes me happy in a way. Even though Ubisoft messed up, the critiques from fans were passionate and reasoned, without any of the developers getting harassed or doxed. And then Ubisoft actually understood why people were upset and acknowledged a need to do better, instead of dismissing the players’

Not to be pedantic (and I only offer this because of the spl with a question mark), but it’s Alcibiades. With a hard c. Real historical person who they probably took a lot of license with, but the effect is pretty hilarious.

Well, I guess it’s good that I’ll never finish the game and get to this dlc, because my Kassandra ain’t into no dudes.

I don’t get why this is a problem for devs nowadays....its not like relationships are a new thing and yet they almost continually write these things like they are as pure as the driven snow.
