Louis C K cast a black actress because it amused him. Rue was always black in the book. I’m guessing Salt got made because Jolie wanted to be in it.

because white people aren’t 6.6% of the demographics coming out of hollywood. additionally, rue was not recast as someone black, she was black in the books. louis ck’s wife isn’t being cast as someone not black, angelina jolie in salt proved that the film worked regardless of gender.

Easy A was soooo good. I need another teen movie that good to come around again. Patricia Clarkson (can I please look like her when I get older?!) and Stanley Tucci were golden. I liked Emma in Birdman a lot as well.

I saw the descendants though. That counts, right?

I’m in the same boat as you. She was likable in Easy A, but now I just can’t stand her, and this movie just isn’t helping. I’m appalled she event took the role.
