Very true! I think people just tend to think in quarters when one or both parents are mixed.

I don’t think that’s necessarily true though, especially since her character is supposedly a quarter Asian, a quarter native Hawaiian, and half white. I’ve known people who were half Asian/half white who looked more Asian, and then some who looked more white. As you said, it’s genetics.
